Heanor Vision are hosting a Public Meeting on Thursday 15th March, 7pm at St Lawrence Church Heanor.

At our monthly meetings, we have had drawn to our attention, an increasing number of concerns and incidents relating to the community’s, safety, welfare, facilities, town centre, trading, housing mix and scope, to this end we would like to invite you to a public meeting which will cover several aspects of the concerns that have been raised.

Heanor Vision felt it was essential to give the community of Heanor an opportunity to air their concerns to those who can answer their questions, hence we have invited key people from the local authorities and businesses to attend in their pro...fessional capacity, to this meeting.

Heanor Vision felt it would be a valuable exercise for the appropriate bodies to have the opportunity to listen to, offer advice and take back with them the issues that are being highlighted. This would enable solutions to be built into local strategy and help create a better future for Heanor.

By your presence at the meeting this would allow the authorities to hear your opinions and help them to understand the issues at grass roots.

To quote One resident at a recent meeting……… ‘I have lived in this area for 24 years and the last few months are the worst I have ever seen with regard to drugs, drinking, general behaviour and the demise of our infrastructure. This is creating community unrest and the feeling of being unvalued and unloved’. Unfortunately, this is an all too often protestation that we hear.

Please attend and help us to push for the change that Heanor deserves.
